The chemical composition and the in vitro antifungal and antioxidant activity of essential oil of Murraya koenigii (L.) Spreng leaves have been studied. The yield of M. koenigii leaf essential oil (MKLEO) recorded as 0.52% which is higher than those reported earlier.

It is reported that the two types of diabetes cause a range of female sexual dysfunctions such as: loss of libido, vaginal dryness and discomfort [2], higher prevalence of reduced vasocongestion and reduced vaginal lubrication to erotic stimuli [3], reduced sensitivity of the clitoris [4] and so on. In the male, a wide range of abnormalities and problems related to reproductive system have been reported in both diabetic patients and diabetic animal models.

Pathophysiological Ramifications of Diabetic Condition: A Review

Such long term complications include cardiovascular diseases, nephropathy, neuropathy and retinopathy. Microvascular complications are the major cause of these pathologies. Understanding the etiology of these complications is important to devise effective prevention and treatment strategies. Therefore, the current review was undertaken to enumerate various diabetes related pathologies, the relevant mechanisms, disease progression and available treatment options.
